Overview
Etim Bassey Ironbar represented Nigeria in the 1984 Olympic games in weightlifting. Unfortunately, he tore his quarterback muscle and that ended his career. He went back to Nigeria, without much support from the Nigerian government he got involved in social work- to most Nigerians, this is a "sad decline".
Objective
Imageandmind wanted an interview with him to document him as a national and historical figure for enlightening reasons.
Strategy
After intensive reasearch, I realised enough interview had been made about him and mostt of which had similar content- especially backlashing the government. So, I directed the documentary as an autobiography of himself and the content stood out as an extended, comprehensive and entertaining perspective never been told of Etim Bassey Ironbar.
Achievement
The documentary trended on twitter organically, rising up to 13, 000 views, redirected the audience to imageandmind on Instagram where the video also rose up to 3000 views with enough engagements in the comment section that led to an increased following.
